cottage facilities and amenities

The cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 people. 

Two of the bedrooms are upstairs, 1 king size bed (Bedroom 1), and one queen size bed (Bedroom 2).

The downstairs bedroom (Bedroom 3) has a queen size bed. 

The cottage consists of a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, microwave, crockery & cutlery, as well as outdoor braai area (weber braai).  Braai wood is provided.

We have a gas stove as well.

There is an upstairs WC (Water Closet) that consists of a toilet and a basin.

Downstairs is a full bathroom with bath and shower and a separate toilet facility.

The cottage is equipped with a lounge, inside dining room, outside seating area, small library and some games.

There is a fireplace that is most welcomed on our colder days. Firewood is provided.

The road from the R71 is a gravel road. We are lucky enough to have a decent hard road, even in wet weather and most cars should have no problem with the road. 

Of course the dirt roads can be slippery and there can occasionally be slips. Guests are encouraged to drive slowly and take care, especially in wet weather.

The farm is a working farm, and it is important to note that there are people, children and animals walking around.

In summertime the bees  are active in the area. They may be around looking for food and water. Guests allergic to bee stings should bring anti-allergy medication.

Vervet & Simango monkeys roam the area. They are not dangerous and are  not spoiled. No feeding of any animals are allowed. Please keep windows closed when leaving the house.
